I was born and raised in a small town in Northwest Tennessee. Although, I loved English and reading in high school, I was convinced an English degree equated to starvation! So, I chose the next most logical major - Chemical Engineering- and worked in a hard hat and steel toed boots for several years. Now I live in South Carolina with my husband and two children. In between school and homework and soccer practices, I love to get lost in another world, whether it's Regency England or small town Alabama.
My first two Falcon Football books received TOP PICKS from RT Book Reviews and a STARRED review from Library Journal. KISS ME THAT WAY, Cottonbloom Book 1, won the Stiletto Contest and was a finalist for the National Readers Choice Award. THEN HE KISSED ME, Cottonbloom Book 2, was named an Amazon Best Romance of 2016 and was a finalist of the National Excellence in Romance Fiction Award. TILL I KISSED YOU Book 3, is a finalist for the Maggie Award. And, LEAVE THE NIGHT ON Book 4, was named an iBooks Best Book of August and was featured on NPR! WHEN THE STARS COME OUT was named a Best Romance of February by Amazon!
It's been too long since I've updated, but I blame covid. Luckily, my family stayed physically healthy, but teenagers and quarantine do not mix with good results. Words on the page were hard to come by, but things are getting back on track and I'm working on new material again!

Writing stuff...
1. I am so excited to be re-releasing my Cottonbloom series!! Check out my new covers! The entire six book series will release over the summer and fall.
2. I'm *finally* working on Book 1 of a new Regency series called Laws of Attraction. Title TBA, but the hero is Damien Northcutt who readers met in A Daring Deception!
3. I'm also working on a series of short contemporary novels (~50k) set in Savannah, GA. These are *very* sexy and fun! The series is called The Bad Boys Breakfast Club.
I would love to hear from you... Happy Reading!!

--Bookbub: If you don't have time for all the extras and just want to know about sales and new releases, head over to my Bookbub profile and click on the FOLLOW button.

--Facebook: Unfortunately, pages do have the reach they used to, but come on over and join my reading group if you want the chance to read my books before they're realized and the first look at covers!
Q: I love your historicals. When will you release more in the Spies and Lovers series?
A: YES!! First three are out with two more coming. A SINFUL SURRENDER and A DARING DECEPTION. Follow me on social media for news on dates!
Q: Where do you come up with the ideas for your books?
A: Music plays a huge role in my creative process. You can find Spotify playlist for my Falcon Football and Cottonbloom series on the book pages. I'm totally digging Sam Hunt right now. In fact, *I* wanted to name my novella, CHRISTMAS IN THE COP CAR, because it was totally inspired by Cop Car by Sam Hunt. For the Cottonbloom series in particular, my editor wanted a "small-town summer series." I got out an atlas and was flipping through when I noticed the east-west state line of Mississippi and Louisiana, and the idea came so fast I could barely get it typed up fast enough.
Q: The small towns you write about in your books seem like real places. Are they?
A: Falcon, Alabama was inspired by my hometown of Martin, Tennessee. Off on the far right, the stately brick building with the columns, is the CE Weldon Library and the inspiration for Falcon's library, which plays a big role in SLOW AND STEADY RUSH. They've modernized and refurbished the inside, but in my book (and memories) I describe it how I remember it as a child.
Cottonbloom MS/LA is a town purely of my imagination. In fact, the town came to me in a flash as I was studying maps to decide where in the South to set my next series. I saw the state line and Cottonbloom was born. It was a "character" before the Fournettes were born:)
